Although the practice is temporarily closed for routine eye tests, we want to keep in touch as best we can. It is hard for many of us to adapt to this new way of life, but we hope that you are all managing to keep safe and well despite that.

In the meantime, all of us are trying to use the time at home in a positive way. I am spending more time with my teenagers. My daughter is home from university, so I am grateful for this extra time with her. We have projects planned for the garden that we might actually get round to now! I am also thinking about the business and how we will improve things to give our patients the very best service when we return.

All the team are keeping well and we are in regular communication. We are holding regular meetings over the phone and are planning the re-opening together. One of the positives we have all noticed is that we are speaking to family members more often, and it’s never been easier to keep in touch with family and friends overseas. Families are generally spending more time together, albeit remotely in some circumstances, and family dogs have never had so many walks!

We all seem to be spending more time planning and cooking new dishes. books off the shelf are finally getting read, and many of us are taking up yoga, meditation and exercises at home. We will be ok and we will all get through this.
